How to Organize a Great Workshop

Plan the Physical Space and Room Set Up

Sometimes your room set up is dictated by the space you have and we will, of course, work with you to create a great workshop in any room configuration. But there are optimal room configurations for the different workshops we offer.  See the list of room configurations at right to make the best choices.

Plan the Timing and Transitions

Planning the flow and timing of the workshop will help both your guests and Upstream know what to expect from the day. The most common schedule for a workshop is a 9-5 format. With this format you would have a morning break around 10am, followed by a lunch break and an afternoon break.

If you find yourself bringing Doug in for a sales conference or a ½ day workshop, we will work to optimize the best schedule for the day.
